SAFECON 2010 to Use Established Terre Haute Airport Traffic Pattern Altitutde of 1000' AGL

Monroe, LA - The established HUF pattern altitude of 1000' AGL will be used in the flying events during SAFECON 2010. NIFA rules II.A.3. (Power Off Landings) and II.B.3. (Short Field Landings) both establish a "minimum" altitude for the events of 800 ft. AGL. Since the pattern altitude of the airport is above the minimum established by the rules, there is no conflict and the established pattern altitude of 1000' AGL will be used.

Rule II.D.3. (Message Drop) states that the recommended airport pattern altitude will be used.
